How to Issue Library Books to Students?

Library books can be issued to students in Library Management Module.

Library Master >> Library Management

Upon Clicking, Library Management, a page will be displayed as shown below.

  • Select class of the student to whom the book has to be issued.
  • Select Section of the student to whom the book has to be issued.
  • Select the student  to whom the book has to be issued.
  • Click on Find button.

  • Click on Add button to Add a book in the list.

Add the book in the list to issue the book!

  • ADD, first
  • ISSUE, next                                                                                                                                        
  • Enter any one search criteria to search the book that has to be returned.
      >> Reference ID - Enter the Reference ID to search the book. (or)
      >> Accession No - Enter the Accession No to search the book.
  • Click on find button to Find the book.

Up on clicking Find, the details of the book will be automatically fetched and displayed on the screen as shown below.

  • Click on Add button to Add the book to the list of issuing books.

Note
  • You will be able to issue the book only if available stock is at least 1.
  • Stocks will decrease as you issue the books to the students.
  • Stocks is the number of books available to issue.
  • Stocks can be added or deleted from Book Stock module.

Upon clicking Add, the books added to list will be displayed as shown below.

  • Select the book (Check box)
  • Click on issue book button to issue the book.

Step 1: Goto Library  Masters , Click on Book stock menu

To issue a book to Students / Staff you need to have the stock of the book. Therefore user has to add the stock of the book in this menu.
Note

User can update the stock when ever they receive new stock.

For issuing Book, follow the below steps

  1. Add Book Category.
  2. Add Book Publishers.
  3. Add Book Authors.
  4. Add  Book Vendors.
  5. Add Book Locations.
  6. Add Book.
  7. Add Stock.
  8. Update Limit.
  9. Issuing Books to Students.
  10. Issuing Books to Staff.

Step 2: Once you click on Book Stock menu in the Library Master, Book Stock master will be opened as shown below.

Steps to update stock on Category

  1. Select the category under which the book belongs to.
  2. Click on Filter.
  3. You will be able to view the book list under the selected category as shown below.

     4. Click on Edit icon .  You will get the Purchase panel opened as shown below.

     5. Enter the Purchase date, vendor, quantity, price.

      6. Click on Purchase button. The stock will gets added successfully.

    7. Click on Close button.

You will be able to see the Stock table as shown below.

Steps to Update Stock on ID

  1. Enter the Book ID.
  2. Click on Filter. You will get the book. 

     3. Click on Edit

     4. Enter the stock details and click on Purchase button.

     5. Finally click on Close.
